Google Analytics helps web authors view and analyze the web traffic to their site. K-State Research and Extension has this software set up to help their web authors with reporting tasks and general information gathering.
The software gets the information for its reports by analyzing the web server's log files. The log files contain information about what pages and files were requested from the server and who requested them.
Because of the many webs and log files, not all Research and Extension sites have WebTrends reports. If you are a web author and would like a report set up for your site,
e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Viewing reports requires authentication. Once a person requests access to the reports, their eID and password can be used to access the site. A generic username and password can be created to allow users to access the report if they do not have an eID.
