Thanksgiving

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

It has been a while since I have done this, but if you have followed me on my Facebook page or our Difference Makers Facebook page, you know I like quotes. On this Thanksgiving week, I want to share with you a few quotes befitting the holiday.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”
- Media mogul and entertainer Oprah Winfrey
“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates vision for tomorrow.”
- Writer Melodie Beattie
“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.
- Writer William Arthur Ward
“I am grateful for what I am and for what I have. My thanksgiving is perpetual.”
- Writer Henry David Thoreau
“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
- Writer William Arthur Ward

In response to Ward’s latter quote, thank you for all that you have done, for all that you do, and for all that you will do for the people of Kansas, your colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everybody!
