Shawnee County Grant Workshop - August 28

Submitted by Nancy Daniels

Grants are a vital piece of your community's funding puzzle. Funders and donors will invest in your project if you can state clearly:

• What is the problem we are trying to solve?
• What change is possible?
• How will our organization produce the desired change?
• How will we know we succeeded?

On August 28 we will hold a grant writing workshop at the Shawnee County Extension Office, 1740 SW Western, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is $10 and includes lunch and all materials. Email Cindy Evans, cevans@ksu.edu, to register by August 23.

What you will learn:

a) Sources of data to document community needs,
b) Where to find Grants,
c) Practicing the elements of a great grant proposal,
d) New partners for collaboration, and
e) YOU can do it!
