Help celebrate this year’s National 4-H Week, October 7-13, by joining the movement to “INSPIRE KIDS TO DO!” Since 1968, National 4-H Week has been held the first full week of October. National 4-H Week is a chance to raise awareness of 4-H, enroll more young people, and recruit more volunteers. Now is the time for clubs and 4-H councils to discuss and make plans for local efforts to promote and celebrate National 4-H week as well as National Youth Science Day and 48 Hours of 4-H (October 13 & 14).

New from National 4-H Council in 2018!

  • Tuesday, October 9 will be Spirit Day. We know that a lot of you already encourage your 4-H'ers to wear a clover to school and that's what this day will be...an opportunity for members, parents, volunteers and staff to show their 4-H pride by wearing a 4-H t-shirt to school/work.
  • 30 Days of Doing will celebrate kids who are doing great things all across the country, for the entire month of September. We are going to celebrate kids, both 4-H and not 4-H, who “do” things with a purpose across the nation through fun tools, tips, resources and stories for moms and kids.
  • You will also see a photo contest and major social media engagement. The photo contest is part of 30 Days of Giving where your 5-17 year olds can win a $10,000 scholarship and a $10,000 honorarium for their state.

We will have a webinar on Monday, August 20, at 11 a.m. to review the National 4-H Week resources available to you and preview our social media plan. Beth Hinshaw will also be on the webinar to review 48 Hours of 4-H and accompanying resources. "Inspire Kids to Do” compliments 484H really well. Nothing says "Doing" like community service and civic engagement! If you are unable to join the webinar on August 20, the webinar will be recorded and posted so that you can watch at a later date.
