KANSAS 4-H CENTENNIAL QUILT TO BE AUCTIONED AT THE STATE FAIR
Each year the State Fair Open Class Clothing and Textiles department has a quilt block contest with a theme. The 2005 theme was the Kansas 4-H Centennial. A committee has taken those blocks and set them into a quilt and three pillows. The quilt and pillows will be auctioned on Saturday, September 16, 4 p.m., at the Farm Bureau Arena. The proceeds will go to a Kansas 4-H Centennial Community Service hunger project.

A picture of the quilt can be seen on the Pratt County Extension website, www.prattcountyextension.com , under the 4-H and Youth link. We would encourage counties to publicize this offering so that any who might be interested in purchasing it would have an opportunity.

A link on the Kansas 4-H Youth website has been added about the Centennial Quilt.  You will find it under the "What's New" section. --Jean Clarkson-Frisbie jcfrisbi@oznet.ksu.edu
