Livestock PFT Spring Meeting

Submitted by Alyssa Rippe-May

The Livestock Program Focus Team would like to invite you to our spring meeting happening on March 19 and 20, in Quinter. This workshop is focused on livestock production, but everyone is invited regardless of your PFT affiliation. We will kick off the meeting at noon on March 19, by touring three operations near Quinter. Two of the stops will focus on commercial sheep production and the final stop will be a Quarter horse and Hereford cattle operation. That evening, we'll hear from a sponsor on current industry products and services as we enjoy supper at the Center Pivot. We'll kick off the next day with a presentation from Dr. Justin Smith, KDA Animal Health Commissioner. Dr. Smith will focus discussion on current animal health issues within Kansas. The PFT business meeting will conclude the event around noon.

The PFT has booked a block of rooms at the Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Quinter. Please plan to share a room as only 20 are available. To receive the group rate and have the PFT pay for your stay, mention "KSU Livestock PFT" when booking. The cutoff date for the discounted rate is February 28.

To RSVP for the meeting, please fill out a form at https://goo.gl/forms/9Zis6cRDE95Y1lji1. If you have any questions, please email Alyssa Rippe-May at alyssar@ksu.edu. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you in March!
