Resource for Losses due to Wildfires and Hurricanes

Submitted by Forrest Buhler

The Farmers Legal Action Group (FLAG) has published a new guide to help farmers hit by the 2017 hurricanes and wildfires. Farmers may be eligible for relief on crop losses from the 2017 Wildfires and Hurricanes Indemnity Program (WHIP) but they must apply by November 16, 2018. Relief is in the form of cash payments.

The guide from FLAG helps farmers navigate the ins and outs of this program.
