Horticulture Extension Team Changes
Our KSRE Horticulture Response Center leader, Mr. Ward Upham, will enter phased retirement on February 9, transitioning to 0.5 time for a period of two years. Ward plans to be available in the office, 785-532-1438, all day on Mondays and Fridays as well as 1/2 day on Wednesdays.
He will continue to answer questions on "home" horticulture, contribute articles, and serve as editor of the horticulture newsletter. In phased retirement, Ward will no longer serve as the state "Extension Master Gardener Coordinator" nor give presentations. However, the Department of Horticulture and Natural Resources is actively working on addressing these needs.
