4-H Camp 2020

Submitted by Amy Sollock

The stress you are under, both professionally and personally, at these uncertain times is extraordinary. We are here to support you as you try to respond and creatively seek ways to continue your local programming efforts.

We have received a lot of questions pertaining to 4-H camp this summer. As of right now, please continue to promote and prepare for Camp 2020. Hold payments as a deposit for now, and should we determine that camp will not take place this summer, you can give full refunds at that time. If 4-H camp proceeds this summer, it will be absolutely critical to communicate with families and parents that best operating procedures will be followed and the necessary precautions are in place to ensure a safe and healthy 4-H camping experience. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation in the coming weeks/months and follow guidelines set forth by Kansas State University.

Kansas 4-H Camp may play a pivotal role in reintroducing a “new normal” to our Kansas youth this summer. An opportunity to connect socially, learn dynamically, and be in the presence of caring adults will provide comfort, safety, and growth.
